Hearts, Minds and Souls.
Our mission is to introduce people of all ages to salvation through Jesus Christ and disciple believers in spiritual growth. Our cause is to win the hearts and minds of young people through the power of God's Word and to send them into the world as ambassadors for Christ.
To God be the Glory.
Nicky and I have been privileged to be involved with Christian camping for over thirty years. Since Camp Victory started in 1986, we have repeatedly witnessed the transforming power of the Gospel in the lives of hundreds of young people through this Christian camping ministry. We believe that the Lord uses exposure to the wonders of His creation in a camp setting to speak to them individually. Without technology and the distractions of everyday live, campers are able to open their hearts and minds to hear His voice and to experience Him in ways that will impact them for eternity.
Having met in leased facilities for many years, we’re thrilled that God has blessed us with a beautiful piece of property in northern Moore County, NC. Bordered on three sides by water and with beautiful 100' bluffs, this property will provide us with a unique ministry home. Having seen so many lives impacted in just one week of camp per year, we're excited to think of what God will accomplish with a full summer of camps.
Our call is to continue to develop this facility to allow even more lives to be impacted by Christ. This website will provide you with our vision for this facility. Will you join hands with us and our many supporters in this great endeavor? We trust that you will prayerfully consider how the Lord will have you partner with us.
Tom and Nicky Lewis
We've reached several key milestones in our vision to build Moore's Keep Christian Camp. In 1986, God prompted the pastor of a small church to encourage his congregation to conduct its own camp for its young people in a rented facility. Two of the volunteers at that first Camp Victory, Tom and Nicky Lewis, experienced firsthand how God could use the fun, safe, and serene setting of a camp to speak His truth into the hearts of those young people. Tom and Nicky had such a desire to be a part of something so special that they went back for the next 16 years. In 2002, both Tom and Nicky felt God's calling to establish a permanent home for the Camp Victory and founded Benchmark Ministries to do so.
Building Moore's Keep Christian Camp.
The actualization of a dream to build a camp for the cause of Christ started with the purchase of some dirt, trees and water in Moore County. Today one has only to drive onto the camp and hear some of the stories of how the development came about to see the fingerprints of God on the ministry.
To date an infrastructure consisting of over 1.5 miles of roads, on site sewer system, fresh water supply, fire protection water supply, power and communication systems have been put into place. Support systems such as maintenance building, equipment shed, lumber shed and barn are also complete. Then there is the camper activities development, which consist of a dock for creek water sports, go-kart track, archery range, rifle range, swimming pool and open-air pavilion.
The infrastructure and support systems we now have in place allows us to move to the next step on the master plan, camper housing.
Our vision is to develop and operate a year-round Christian camp and conference center where people of all ages can unplug from the world and step into a serene setting to draw closer to God.
To provide individuals and groups the opportunity to be still and listen to God in a safe, wholesome environment through fun and exciting summer camps, retreats and conferences.
Where We're Headed
The infrastructure and support systems presently in place allows us to move to the next step on the master plan, camper housing.
The construction of The Village (the first permanent camper housing) will allow us to increase the number of campers we can serve each week, provide summer staff quarters, and afford us the opportunity to expand the ministry to include off season events such as couples’ retreats, family camps, ladies’ conferences and father and son retreats. The village will contain 10 hotel type rooms, infirmary, large gang restrooms, apartment for the speakers, and space for conditioned chapel and dinning.
God has blessed us with a visionary Board of Directors, along with a number of architects, engineers, builders and volunteers who have devoted countless hours to this great endeavor.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

The need for a Christian camp to introduce juniors and teens to Christ has never been greater. 80% of those that accept Christ as their Savior do so by age 18. 60% of those make that decision at Christian camps.
